Michael Lorenzen making first position start Thursday for Reds
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Michael Lorenzen is starting in center field in Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Jason Vargas and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Lorenzen became the first player since Babe Ruth on June 13, 1921, to earn a win, hit a home run, and play in the field in the same game on Wednesday in an 8-5 win over the Phillies. Now, he's making his first career position start out of the seven-hole. Brian O'Grady is on the bench.
Lorenzen finished with 12.0 FanDuel points in Wednesday's historic outing.
