Blue Jays' Anthony Kay scratched from Tuesday's start, lefty Thomas Pannone now toeing rubber
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Kay has been scratched from Tuesday's scheduled start against the Baltimore Orioles due to back discomfort.
Kay didn't feel right after throwing on Tuesday afternoon. He owns a 5.90 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 68 strikeouts and 30 walks in 71 2/3 innings (35 games, six starts) this season. Left-hander Thomas Pannone is now taking the mound for the Blue Jays in this divisional matchup.
