Brewers' Luis Urias tests positive for coronavirus
Milwaukee Brewers infielder Luis Urias has tested positive for COVID-19, per manager Craig Counsell.
Angel Perdomo, who was added to the 40-man roster during the offseason and had an opportunity to make the Brewers' Opening Day bullpen, also tested positive. Urias and Perdomo are both asymptomatic. They will both need to have two negative tests before joining his teammates. Urias was expected to miss the initial Opening Day in March due to a fractured left hamate bone, but the pandemic provided him with additional time to recover. The 23-year-old former top prospect hit .223 with a .655 OPS across 249 plate appearances last season in his first extended taste of the majors.
numberFire's models expect Urias to hit .247 with 4 homers, 20 RBI, and 20 runs scored in 178 plate appearances this season.
