Harrison Bader (ribs) back, starting Thursday for Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals activated outfielder Harrison Bader (ribs) from the 10-day injured list.
Bader hasn't played since May 24 due to a right rib hairline fracture. Lars Nootbaar was optioned to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. Bader will play center field and bat eighth on Thursday against right-hander Antonio Senzatela and the Colorado Rockies. Dylan Carlson will man right field and Tommy Edman will play second base in place of Matt Carpenter.
numberFire’s models project Bader for 9.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals have the second-highest implied total (5.7 runs) in the majors on Thursday. Senzatela is registering the worst strikeout rate this season (15.3 percent) among Thursday's listed starters.
