Jake Bauers returning to Mariners' bench Wednesday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Jake Bauers is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Jake Odorizzi and the Houston Astros.
Bauers has only been in the lineup twice in six games for Houston. Mitch Haniger is moving to right field in place of Bauers on Wednesday. Luis Torrens is returning to the lineup to bat seventh as the Mariners' designated hitter.
numberFire’s models project Torrens for 8.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners have an implied total of 4.1 runs. Odorizzi is registering a 21.0 strikeout percentage and an 8.1 walk percentage this season, with a 4.98 xERA and a .338 xwOBA.
