Jake Bauers sitting for Seattle Monday
The Seattle Mariners did not include Jake Bauers in their starting lineup for Monday's game against the Oakland Athletics.

Bauers will take a seat Monday while Mitch Haniger plays in right field and Luis Torrens covers the designated hitter role, batting fifth.
Bauers has made 310 plate appearances in 2021, with 4 home runs, 26 runs, 19 RBI, a .212 batting average, and a .572 OPS. It was a step back for him from his 2019 season, but he could look to make some gains with another year of reps after sitting out the 2020 season.
