Mitch Garver grabbing seat Wednesday for Rangers
Texas Rangers catcher Mitch Garver is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against the Oakland Athletics.
Garver will sit for the day game after he went 0-for-5 on Tuesday night. He started 12 of the last 13 contests for Texas. Sam Huff will catch for Jordan Montgomery on Wednesday afternoon and Robbie Grossman will be the designated hitter. Travis Jankowski will start in left field and bat second.
numberFire’s models project Huff ($2,100) for 8.5 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers' implied total is 5.20, fourth-highest on the board, and the game total is 8.5. Austin Pruitt will serve as Oakland's opening pitcher and Freddy Tarnok will work in the bulk relief role. The 24-year-old right-hander has a 6.75 ERA with 10 strikeouts and 9 walks over 10 2/3 innings this season.
