Jason Heyward joining Dodgers bench Tuesday
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Jason Heyward is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against left-hander Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins.
The left-handed hitting Heyward is taking a seat against the Marlins' southpaw. Mookie Betts is moving to right field while Amed Rosario starts on second base and bats cleanup for the Dodgers.
numberFire’s models project Hernandez ($2,300) for 8.2 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Dodgers' implied total is 3.96 and the game total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5. Luzardo has a 3.62 ERA and 4.02 xERA this season, with a 41.5% hard-hit rate, 38.3% strikeout rate, and 7.1% walk rate. The southpaw is permitting a fair amount of hard hits (bottom 34th percentile) while also punching out a high amount of batters this season (top 82nd).
