Jason Heyward sitting Thursday for Dodgers
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Jason Heyward is not in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against left-hander Braxton Garrett and the Miami Marlins.
Heyward went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and an additional run scored on Tuesday, but the lefty hitter hasn't been in the lineup once versus a southpaw this season. Mookie Betts will move out to right field on Thursday while Amed Rosario starts on second base and hits cleanup for the Dodgers.
numberFire’s models project Betts ($4,500) for 14.7 and Rosario ($2,700) for 7.4 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Dodgers' implied total is 4.35 and the game total is 8.5. Ober has a 2.61 ERA and 3.55 xERA this season, with a 34.1% hard-hit rate, 23.6% strikeout rate, and 6.5% walk rate. Garrett has a strong 3.56 SIERA and elite 3.8% walk rate this season, but his 46.1% hard-hit rate is in the bottom-6% of the majors.
