White Sox send Oscar Colas back to minors
The Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Oscar Colas to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
What It Means:
This is the second time Colas has been sent down this season. Gavin Sheets will move to right field for Monday's series opener against right-hander Brady Singer and the Kansas City Royals. Andrew Vaughn will start on first base and bat sixth. The White Sox recalled catcher Carlos Perez from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday in a corresponding roster move.
numberFire’s models project Sheets ($2,200) for 7.9 and Vaughn ($2,900) for 10.5 FanDuel points on Monday. Singer has an ugly 5.34 ERA and 1.42 xERA this season, with one of the worst hard-hit rates in the majors (49.0%) and a low 19.5% strikeout rate.
