Ender Inciarte (groin) expected back Tuesday for Braves
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte (groin) is expected to return to the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Inciarte hurt his groin on Friday against the Miami Marlins and is being held out again on Monday. Emilio Bonifacio will replace him in center field and hit eighth on Monday. The Braves will miss Inciarte's glove, as he has a 29.7 UZR/150 in center field this season, while Bonifacio has a -43.1 UZR/150 in the outfield this season.
Inciarte's bat hasn't been able to match his glove this season, as he's slashing just .236/.307/.305 without a home run, eight stolen bases, and a .273 wOBA in 227 plate appearances. Our models project him to hit .267/.324/.350 with two home runs, nine steals, and a .296 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
