Yankees' Jacoby Ellsbury returned to New York for MRI on knee
New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury returned to New York on Sunday for an MRI on his right knee.
Ellsbury may be out for the final two weeks of the regular season after suffering a bone bruise in his right knee Saturday at Fenway against the Red Sox. Mason Williams started in center field on Sunday night. Expect an update before the Yankees open their series against the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night.
Ellsbury is slashing .265/.327/.382 with a .310 wOBA in 577 plate appearances this season. He has 52 RBI's and 18 stolen bases on the year.
