Seattle's Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) makes it through a bullpen session
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) made it through a 25-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.
Iwakuma has been on the DL since May 7 with inflammation in his right shoulder. He is scheduled to make one more bullpen session before facing live hitters. The 36-year-old is still ways away from a big league return but headed in the right direction.
Iwakuma is projected to toss 70 2/3 innings the rest of the season, by our algorithms, while posting a 4.71 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts.
