Twins' Bartolo Colon throws seven shutout innings Wednesday night
Minnesota Twins pitcher Bartolo Colon held the Milwaukee Brewers scoreless in seven innings of work on Wednesday night.
In securing his second consecutive win, the 44-year-old pushed the young Twins to an even record (56-56) for the year after winning four straight. They're now a half-game back of the Kansas City Royals and 4 1/2 back of the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central.
Through 5 starts with the Twins, Colon is 2-1 with a 4.06 FIP and just 0.9 walks per 9 in 31 1/3 innings. He's projected for a 2-3 record and 24 earned runs over 41-plus innings the rest of the season.
