Bryce Harper out of Nationals' lineup for first time this season
Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the San Diego Padres.
Harper has gone 0-for-16 over the past four games, so Nationals manager Dave Martinez decided it was time for the 25-year-old All-Star to take his first breather of the season. Despite the recent slump, Harper owns a .951 OPS with 12 taters and 28 RBI through 166 plate appearances. Moises Sierra will replace Harper in right field and Michael Taylor will take over at the top of the order for Washington.
Harper is averaging 14.4 FanDuel points through 37 games this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .282 with 31 homers, 81 RBI, 85 runs scored, and 8 steals over the rest of the year.
