Tigers place Shane Greene (shoulder) on 10-day DL
The Detroit Tigers have placed pitcher Shane Greene on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain.
What It Means:
It's unclear how long Greene will be sidelined, but this figures to make it more difficult for the Tigers to move him at the trade deadline. Joe Jimenez is expected to serve as the closer while Greene is out.
Greene has posted a 4.03 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with 19 saves this season.
