Sean Manaea placed on Athletics' disabled list with shoulder injury
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea is on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to August 24, with a left shoulder impingement.
Manaea only lasted 67 pitches in his last start and his strikeout percentage is below 20.0 percent for the first time in the southpaw's career, so this could be something he's been dealing with for a while. It's unclear how much time he may miss. The Athletics recalled right-hander Emilio Pagán from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding roster move.
The 26-year-old left-hander is averaging 27.6 FanDuel points and owns a 12-9 record across 27 starts, while posting a 3.59 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 108 punchouts (16.5 percent) across 160 2/3 innings.
