By the Numbers: The 10 Best NBA Teams of All-Time
10. 2014-15 Golden State Warriors
Now, when we first think of this era's Warriors, the first team that probably comes to mind is the 2015-16 team since they won a record 73 regular-season games. But, with a SRS of 10.01, the NBA champion Warriors start this list off.
Led by Stephen Curry's first MVP campaign, the Dubs won 67 games and finished the season first in pace (98.3 possessions per 48 minutes), points per game (110.0) and defensive rating (101.4). That deadly combination of an elite, high-paced offense and a versatile defense earned Golden State a 10.1 margin of victory.
They would go on to sweep the New Orleans Pelicans 4-0 in the first round, when Curry and his splash brother Klay Thompson averaged a combined 58.8 points per game with 36 three-pointers on 44.4% from beyond the arc. They then disposed of the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets in six and five games, respectively.
Despite a heroic effort by LeBron James, they capped off their title season with a 4-2 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Andre Iguodala was named the Finals MVP for slowing down LeBron with a defensive rating of 100, not to mention posting 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
