If you were to be looking at recent years alone, you would be taken back by the Toronto Raptors' place in this list. They've made the playoffs and have won at least 48 games in three consecutive seasons yet they rank 20th in nERD overall.

That has much to do with the previous 13 seasons, in which the Raptors made the playoffs in just four seasons. As a result of their early shortcomings, they rank 21st in net rating and 26th in defensive rating among all teams. In contrast, they happen to be 19th in effective field goal percentage and 12th in offensive rating.
