Fantasy Basketball: 10 Players to Target on Tanking Teams
Justin Anderson, Dallas Mavericks
Justin Anderson joins Dwight Powell as the two key beneficiaries of the Mavs' struggles and impending tank job. The second-year player is only 23 years old and has yet to show all he has to offer.
Last year, Anderson had to deal with the in-and-out of Chandler Parsons, but now he's primed to get big minutes if and when Dallas places Dirk on the shelf. He'd make a good three- or four-man alongside Harrison Barnes and Powell.
When that happens, you can leave his undraftable ranking behind. In 36 minutes of action, Anderson is averaging 15.7 points and 7.5 rebounds. That's still nowhere to be found on the top-100 map.
Anderson has struggled from the field, slotting in as an 11th-round value after discounting for Anderson's poor field goal percentage. If we take it one step further, Anderson's an eighth-round value absent the assist category. So, if you have assists on lockdown or if you're punting them completely, Anderson's not a bad option.
