Tonight, he will lead the Miami Heat in what is expected to be a slow-paced slugfest against the Dallas Mavericks. The Heat are projected for 100.25 points, which, while low, is actually higher than their season scoring average of 98.5 points.

According to the Game Splits App, over the past two seasons, Whiteside has played in 38 games that fit tonight's criteria -- home games with at least a 99.5-point implied team total and at least a 197-point over/under. In those games, he has averaged 41.8 FanDuel points, which is up from 34.9 in all other games. In 16 such games this season, he has averaged 44.5 FanDuel points.

Whiteside will also benefit from facing the worst rebounding team in the NBA. The Mavs have a rebounding rate of 46.3%, which ranks dead last. That number drops even further with Andrew Bogut out of the lineup, as he is tonight. Their rebounding rate falls to 45.2% without Bogut on the court, per NBAwowy.com.

Whiteside, the league's leading rebounder, should eat on the glass tonight against the weak Dallas frontcourt. The fact that he is also one of the few superstars on this slate that is playing in a game that is expected to remain competitive is just an added bonus.
