Jrue Holiday, PG, New Orleans Pelicans

FanDuel Price: $7,700

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

It should come as no surprise that point guard is a very deep position on tonight's an 11-game slate. John Wall has been playing terrific basketball recently and draws an advantageous matchup against backup point guard Cory Joseph, who should also be popular. Both Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas should see some ownership in a head to head matchup that won't involve a ton of defense. Goran Dragic has played well coming out of the break and should be on the radar of most daily fantasy players for his clash with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Among all of these options, Jrue Holiday isn't likely to be chalky. He has struggled coming out of the break, averaging just 10 real-life points and 23.3 FanDuel points per per game, and he is playing in what should be a slow-paced affair against the Detroit Pistons.

Why You Should Use Him:

Holiday has maintained just a 22.5% usage rate in three games with the new-look New Orleans Pelicans, which should come as no surprise given the addition of DeMarcus Cousins, who has a 32.5% usage rate during that time. With Cousins suspended tonight, Holiday should be heavily involved for a New Orleans team that is not only missing Cousins, but the four players who accounted for the highest usage rates other than Anthony Davis and Holiday prior to the trade. The absence of Tyreke Evans (27.4% usage rate with New Orleans), Terrence Jones (21.4% usage rate), Buddy Hield (19.5% usage rate), and Langston Galloway (18.6% usage rate) will leave Tim Frazier as the player with the next-highest usage rate (18.3%).

In addition to an expanded role, Holiday should benefit from an individual matchup against Reggie Jackson. Jackson ranks 80th among 87 qualified point guards in defensive real plus-minus (DRPM). Jackson's defensive capabilities have been on full display in three games following the All-Star Break, as Damian Lillard, Isaiah Thomas, and Kemba Walker have averaged 34.7 real-life points and 52.7 FanDuel points against the Pistons.

Holiday's recent struggles make him difficult to trust in cash games at his price, but the upside is clearly there in this matchup. He is a terrific tournament option with Cousins out of the lineup.
