Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Even on a three-game slate, Steven Adams isn't likely to be a popular option at center. He has scored fewer than 30 FanDuel points in eight out of his past nine games and put up just 8.2 the last time he faced this Portland Trail Blazers team.

There are also a few different viable center options, such as the trendy Alan Williams, or proven options in great matchups, like Marcin Gortat against the Phoenix Suns and Nerlens Noel against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Why You Should Use Him:

While it has been more down than up for Adams recently, he has shown the upside is still there by putting up 43 FanDuel points six games ago. Also, his dud against the Blazers is by no means indicative of what you should expect tonight -- he dealt with foul trouble, playing just 24 minutes of timid basketball as he attempted to avoid fouls.

In two meetings prior to that, he averaged 25.2 FanDuel points and 31.5 minutes. If he can avoid foul trouble, he isn't likely to lose out on minutes to Enes Kanter again, as the Oklahoma City Thunder will need Adams' defensive prowess against Jusuf Nurkic, who has averaged 18 points in his last three games.

If Adams sees near the 28.2 minutes he's averaging since the All-Star break (excluding the foul-riddled game), he should have no trouble putting up a productive line against a Portland team allowing the ninth-most FanDuel points to opposing centers. Portland ranks just 21st in rebounding rate as a team, and they have seen their opponents send their shots in the opposite direction 5.2 times per game -- the sixth most in the league.

Adams excels in both areas and should be able to exploit Portland's weaknesses.

The big Aussie's erratic production while playing with the loaded frontcourt of Kanter, Taj Gibson, and Domantas Sabonis makes him a bit of a risk in cash formats, but he certainly has the upside to pay off his depressed price tag. On a small slate where most of the ownership will be focused on two or three centers, a big game from Adams could be a difference maker in tournaments.
