10. Terry Dischinger, Chicago Zephyrs (1962-63)

In 1962, Terry Dischinger was drafted by the Chicago Zephyrs (a team that has evolved into today's Washington Wizards) with the eighth overall pick in what was considered the second round over 50 years ago. The 6'7" shooting guard-forward combo provided an immediate return for his team's investment, with .192 win shares per 48 minutes, while totaling 9.2 win shares and winning the coveted Rookie of the Year Award.

On a team that won just 25 of 80 games, Dischinger averaged 25.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 40.2 minutes per game. He did so while shooting 51.2% from the field and earning a player efficiency rating (PER) of 20.8.
