3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 4/6/17
Myles Turner, C, Indiana Pacers
FanDuel Price: $6,200
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The likes of Karl-Anthony Towns, Nikola Vucevic, Dwight Howard, Brook Lopez, and Shawn Long all should be on the daily fantasy radar today, which will likely keep the slumping Myles Turner's ownership down.
Why You Should Use Him:
After a strong five-game stretch to close out the month of March in which he averaged 34.9 FanDuel points, Turner has scored under 20 FanDuel points in three of his past four games. His minutes have remained consistent though, with an average of 37.4 over his past five games. He is too talented to continue to post such low fantasy totals if he is seeing nearly 40 minutes per game.
He'll look to bounce back tonight as the Indiana Pacers take on the Milwaukee Bucks, whose worst defended position, in terms of FanDuel points allowed, is center. A big reason they have posted sub-par numbers against opposing bigs is their 25th-ranked rebounding rate. Turner's rebounding played a large part in his hot stretch in March, as he averaged 8.2 boards per game, up from just 5.8 over his past four.
If Milwaukee's struggles on the glass allow Turner to get back to posting big rebounding totals, it will go a long way towards his getting back on track from a fantasy perspective.
Our projections like Turner tonight too, listing him as the best value among centers priced above $5,000. Our Floor/Ceiling tool loves him as well, giving him the best ceiling value rating among centers priced above $5,000 by a large margin. In fact, only one player at any position priced above $6,000 has a higher ceiling value rating than Turner. This upside is exactly why Turner is such an appealing target for tournaments. His inconsistency leaves him best avoided in cash games, though.
