3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 3/15/18
Anthony Davis, PF, New Orleans Pelicans
Price: $12,500
Anthony Davis' matchup tonight seems to have driven his salary down, but a clash with the San Antonio Spurs shouldn't scare you off of him -- especially with the reduced price-point.
It's almost impossible to overstate how good Davis has been without DeMarcus Cousins. I touch on it nearly every slate that Davis is on, but it bears repeating. His last 12 games have seen him top 70 FanDuel points an absurd seven times -- which is two more than any other player has amassed over the entire season. We're also up to a pretty significant 18-game sample for Davis without Boogie, and in those games, he's averaging a whopping 64.4 FanDuel points per game. For context, the highest mark any non-Davis player is averaging on the year is only 53.7 per game.
AD is priced like a top-tier fantasy producer, but that's not where he should be, which is in a tier of his own above everyone else.
His matchup today also isn't as bad as it may seem. The Spurs have played at a solid pace since the All-Star break (11th-fastest in the NBA), while really struggling on the glass, sitting only 24th in rebound rate. This still isn't a plus matchup, but it's also not one that should drive Davis' salary down as far as it has.
