Andrew Wiggins, SG/SF, Minnesota Timberwolves
DraftKings Price: $5,600
With a salary of $5,600, Minnesota Timberwolves player Andrew Wiggins is toeing the line between a value and mid-range play, but it's hard to argue against the former given his history against the Los Angeles Lakers, tonight's opponent.
Wiggins has scored 39.75 and 40.5 DraftKings points in his two meetings against the Lakers this season. More importantly, however, is the fact that he's scored at least 29.0 DraftKings points in 10 of his past 11 games against them. That's a heck of a floor for a sub-$6,000 player
In addition to the fondness of his opponent, Wiggins has tended to play better on the road this season. He's averaging 3.5 more DraftKings points per game on the road, and one of the main reasons has, oddly, been because of free-throw shooting.
Despite playing one fewer game on the road than at home, Wiggins has been to the stripe 23 more times and hit 29 more free throws when away from Minneapolis. If that sounds off, you're not wrong. He must hate the Target Center rim, as he's shooting just 63.9% from the line there as opposed to 77.4% on the road! I digress.
We have Wiggins projected for 31.5 DraftKings points tonight.
