3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 3/11/19
Paul George, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder
Price: $10,600
Early foul trouble (and ultimately, fouling out) left Paul George playing an uncharacteristically low 27.6 minutes in his last game, which resulted in an awful 18.7 fantasy points. That was only his second time fouling out this season, though, and it really doesn't leave any sort of long-term concerns as we move forward.
If we ignore that aberration, George's playing time has been absurd recently. He had topped 40 minutes in six of his last eight games before that one, playing no fewer than 38 and averaging 41.9 in that stretch. That does include one double-overtime game, but even if we chop 10 minutes off that game's total to just account for regulation, he still topped 40 minutes that night.
He's combining his absurd minutes with career-best efficiency, averaging 1.36 FanDuel points per minute, while his previous career-best was only 1.18. That has him producing at a terrific level, and in that eight-game stretch he topped 60 FanDuel points five times.
A matchup with the Utah Jazz is never especially exciting, but they also haven't really reined in George this year. His three games against them have seen him notch 49.1, 83.8 (his career-high) and 69.3 FanDuel points, and with his recent workload he's cheap enough that we can look past the tough matchup to feel good about playing him in any format.
