NBA Market Share Report: Running With Jalen Brunson
Beal Preparing for Landing?
We’ve mentioned Bradley Beal in this thread multiple times throughout the season, and he’s even worked his way into the All-NBA discussion since his last appearance.
This mention, however, is more precautionary.
Beal has been absolutely electric as of late -- keeping pace with James Harden as one of the top-scoring fantasy options over the past couple weeks -- and he’s really shown no signs of slowing down.
Unfortunately, it’s unlikely Beal’s fiery production continues for the final ten games of the season, not because he’s not physically capable of keeping it up, but because his usage and minutes don’t make much sense given the Wizards’ position on the year (their chase of the pointless eighth-seed slips further and further away).
With his salary having crossed the $10,000 mark earlier this month, Beal carries some bust potential as a pillar on your roster to close out the year. Overplaying him in the closing games of a lost season and risking injury could mean Scott Brooks’ head, which may or may not already be on the block as it is.
Beal and the Wizards face upcoming games against the Heat, Lakers, Suns, and Jazz.
