Greg Monroe

Along with the aforementioned DeMarre Carroll, Greg Monroe (4.9 nERD) is one of the bigger names on this list -- and rightfully so. At 6'11", Monroe has a coveted skillset for a big man who can play either the four or five. Not only can Monroe score and rebound the basketball but he's also a willing passer and a player whose numbers suggest he is coming into the prime of his career.

This past year in Detroit, Monroe averaged a double-double, scoring 15.9 points and grabbing 10.2 rebounds per game. But the five-year veteran also dished out just over 2 assists in 31 minutes per game. Monroe took advantage of his wide range of skills as he (in terms of advanced analytics) finished with his best year since 2011. He finished with a PER of 21.2, 6.8 Win Shares and .153 Win Shares per 48.

As you can see, at the age of 25, Monroe could bring a lot to a club that is ready to win now. Many teams have shown interest while the Knicks seem like one of the leading candidates. If Monroe had it his way though he'd be teamed up with Anthony Davis in his hometown. Hmm, that'd be interesting.
