NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 11/5/16

Bradley Beal should have a big role with John Wall getting the night off. Which other players should be on your radar for NBA DFS?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and depending on injury news, even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer and a handful of other awesome tools to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with a primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.

Best of the Best

Russell Westbrook ($11,800): One rough game on the road on the second half of a back-to-back against the best team in the league should not scare you off Westbrook. Especially when it served to drop his salary. Even in his worst game of the season, he posted 42.2 FanDuel points, bringing his average down to "only" a league-leading 59.0 FanDuel points per game. He also owns the league's highest usage rate (among players with at least 50 minutes played) at an absurd 42.9%. Numbers like that make Westbrook a tough fade regardless of matchup, but as an added bonus, he is up against a Minnesota Timberwolves team that finished only 28th in defensive rating last season.
