One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup tonight.

Tyler Johnson, PG, Miami Heat

Projected FanDuel Points: 19.4

Tyler Johnson has been a delight off the bench in every facet of the box score, with averages of 15.4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.4 steals in 29.9 minutes. Furthermore, Johnson is shooting lights out with marks of 53% from the field, 93% from the free throw line, and 50% from long range. Johnson and the Miami Heat are up against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who give up the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards and are ranked fourth in pace.

Buddy Hield, SG, New Orleans Pelicans

Projected FanDuel Points: 16.8

Buddy Hield has been trigger-happy as of late, with an average of 12.3 field goal attempts over his past four games. Hield is enjoying a current three-game streak of hitting double-digit points, including 2.3 three-pointers per game. With news of a groin injury to Lance Stephenson, Hield figures to continue logging heavy minutes for his outside shooting ability. Hield will be up against the Golden State Warriors tonight, who are ranked second in pace and ranked seventh in defensive efficiency.

Robert Covington, SF, Philadelphia 76ers

Robert Covington is easily on pace to have his worst season with the Philadelphia 76ers, as he's averaging just 4 points and 4.4 rebounds to go along with a dismal 17% field goal percentage. On the bright side, Covington is playing well on the defensive end with an average of 2.6 steals per game, ranking him third-best in the league. Covington's minutes have remained ample at a 27.7 per game average, and it's only a matter of time before he gets out of his slump to hit near his 13.1-point average he recorded over the past two years.

Ersan Ilyasova, PF, Philadelphia 76ers

Ersan Ilyasova has lit it up since being traded to the Sixers. In two games, Ilyasova is averaging 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3 three-pointers in 25.7 minutes off the bench. Ilyasova isn't just playing garbage minutes either, as he was instrumental in a one-point loss versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ilyasova's ability to stretch the floor will behoove him tonight versus the Utah Jazz, who allow the seventh-fewest FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards.

Robin Lopez, C, Chicago Bulls

Projected FanDuel Points: 21.7

Robin Lopez has played sporadic minutes through six games this season despite not dealing with foul trouble. However, Lopez has been consistently productive with whatever time he gets, as he's averaged 8.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks when playing sub-20 minutes, versus 8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2 blocks when playing 20-plus minutes. The good news is that Lopez is coming off back-to-back games with 27-plus minutes played and has a favorable matchup tonight against the Orlando Magic, who have allowed the most FanDuel points to opposing centers.
