5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 11/10/16
One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.
Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup tonight.
Malcolm Brogdon, PG, Milwaukee Bucks
FanDuel Price: $3,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 10.5
Malcolm Brogdon has found a consistent role in the Milwaukee Bucks' rotation, and he's averaging 7.4 points, 3 assists, and 1.6 steals in just under 21 minutes a game. Brogdon is fourth amongst rookies in usage percentage, and he recorded a career-high 14 points to go along with 4 assists and 4 steals in an earlier matchup versus the New Orleans Pelicans. The Bucks play against the Pelicans again tonight, who give up the seventh-most points per game.
Patrick McCaw, SG, Golden State Warriors
FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 8.5
It's a rare sight to see a Bay Area representative on this list, but Patrick McCaw will be a flier tonight on the tail end of a back-to-back. In just his third appearance after being inactive for five straight games, McCaw logged 20 minutes and notched 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists. McCaw played more minutes than Ian Clark yesterday, and he could see even more tonight if Stephen Curry is limited due to a minor ankle injury. The Golden State Warriors visit the Denver Nuggets, who give up the most FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards, in what should be a fast-paced game.
Justise Winslow, SF, Miami Heat
FanDuel Price: $4,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.5
Justise Winslow is blossoming into a reliable fantasy option this year. He's averaging career-high marks across the board thanks to 36.2 minutes per game, which is good for fifth-most in the league among small forwards. Winslow is dropping 11.8 points per game, but he will need to work on his efficiency as he's shooting just 31% from the field and 15% from three-point range. Winslow and the Miami Heat host the Chicago Bulls, who give up the fifth-most points scored to opposing small forwards.
Bobby Portis, PF, Chicago Bulls
FanDuel Price: $3,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 9.8
Bobby Portis was supposed to have a stellar sophomore year after averaging 7 points and 5.4 rebounds as a rookie, but that hasn't been the case so far. Portis has been limited to just 10.7 minutes per game, which has resulted in measley averages of 5.3 points and 3.4 rebounds. On the bright side, Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg seems to be experimenting as Portis has seen more playing time in the past three games. The Bulls visit the Heat, who allow the fifth-most rebounds to opposing power forwards.
Omer Asik, C, New Orleans Pelicans
FanDuel Price: $3,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.1
Coach Alvin Gentry and the winless Pelicans need to mix things up, and one way of doing that is by giving Omer Asik more run on the court. The team is ranked 29th in rebound differential, and Asik, when given time, is a bonafide rebounder with a per-36-minute mark of 13.3 boards per game for his career. Asik has snagged 9.3 rebounds in 25.1 minutes over his past four games, although he will have a tough task today as they visit the Milwaukee Bucks, who rank sixth in total rebounds per game.
