Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Thursday 2/23/17
The NBA is loaded up with six games on the first day after the All-Star break. While this gives most teams a chance to get healthy, there are still some important bits of injury news to keep in mind before DFS lineups lock, along with some fallout from any trade deadline deals.
Denver Nuggets
Danilo Gallinari will make his return after missing eight straight games, but the Denver Nuggets' injury report is still loaded with question marks. Kenneth Faried is doubtful, while Darrell Arthur and Emmanuel Mudiay are questionable. If Arthur is out along with Faried, Mason Plumlee is in play even more, and Jameer Nelson could also continue to see big minutes if Mudiay is out.
New Orleans Pelicans
In a somewhat surprising move, the New Orleans Pelicans waived Terrence Jones right before the trade deadline. This could help Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, as well as give more minutes to Dante Cunningham.
New York Knicks
Both Joakim Noah and Brandon Jennings will be out tonight for the New York Knicks. Derrick Rose should get a few more minutes along with Ron Baker, while Guillermo Hernangomez will start in place of Noah.
Orlando Magic
Terrence Ross was a full participant at practice on Tuesday and it looks like he could be ready to make his Orlando Magic debut. However, C.J. Watson is out, so look for Elfrid Payton to potentially get the start.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors were being cautious with Zaza Pachulia and David West before the deadline, but it looks like they will be be ready to play on Thursday.
Al Farouq Aminu, Portland Trail Blazers
Al-Farouq Aminu is not ready to play on Thursday for the Portland Trail Blazers, who suddenly have a thin frontcourt. Noah Vonleh and Meyers Leonard should get some more playing time, as could Maurice Harkless.
Ty Lawson, Sacramento Kings
The Cousins trade fallout will obviously shake up the Sacramento Kings. However, the only injury note for them on Thursday is Ty Lawson, who has been going through practice and looks like he'll be available to play.
Cody Zeller, Charlotte Hornets
There has been nothing new on Cody Zeller after the break, so if he is out again look for Frank Kaminsky to get a big bump in playing time.
