Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Wednesday 4/5/17
With Wednesday bringing us eight NBA games for the DFS slate, we have a number of injuries to keep an eye on before rosters lock. Check out all the important ones below.
Denver Nuggets
On the second end of a back-to-back, the Denver Nuggets have the most question marks tonight. Both Jameer Nelson and Will Barton sat out last night and there has been no word on whether either of them will be playing.
Darrell Arthur is questionable, while Kenneth Faried had to leave last night's game early. There has also been no updates on his status for Wednesday.
Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks also have a ton of question marks now that they have been eliminated from the playoffs. JJ Barea and Devin Harris could be rested, while Seth Curry is questionable. There is also Dirk Nowitzki, who will be a game-time decision.
If Curry can't go and the other two guards are rested, Yogi Ferrell is probably a must-play tonight. If Nowitzki is out, Harrison Barnes and Dorian Finney-Smith get a boost in value.
Houston Rockets
Both James Harden and Trevor Ariza went through shootaround this morning, which should indicate they are playing tonight for the Houston Rockets. Sam Dekker will be out, along with Ryan Anderson, so Troy Williams should still be in play after a nice game against the Phoenix Suns over the weekend.
Golden State Warriors
After playing last night, the Golden State Warriors will rest both Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala against the Phoenix Suns. That leaves a lot of minutes open at both forward spots, which could give a lot of minutes to Ian Clark and Matt Barnes. James Michael McAdoo could also see a boost in playing time without Green.
Boston Celtics
We haven't heard officially, but it looks like Avery Bradley will be able to go tonight for the Boston Celtics. Jae Crowder is also listed as probable for tonight's big game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
San Antonio Spurs
Danny Green did not play last night and there has been no update on his current status. With Manu Ginobili looking like he will miss tonight's game, that could lead to some DFS value for the San Antonio Spurs on the wing if Green can't go. Jonathon Simmons, Patrick Mills and Kyle Anderson would all see a boost.
Memphis Grizzlies
Both Marc Gasol and JaMychal Green came back last night for the Memphis Grizzlies, but double-check their status since this will be their second game in as many days. Mike Conley got cut above his eye against the Spurs on Tuesday but says he is fine. That leaves Tony Allen as the only one in real danger of missing tonight -- he didn't play last night.
Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors
After practicing on Monday, Kyle Lowry has been listed as questionable for Wednesday night's game. He has missed the last 21 games for the Toronto Raptors, but he was spotted doing some on-court work before last night's game, so look for another update today on his availability.
Tristan Thompson, Cleveland Cavaliers
Tristan Thompson has been ruled out for Wednesday and Friday with a sprained thumb. This should slide Kevin Love over to center, increasing his value some and it should give some more minutes to Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson depending on the Cleveland Cavaliers' matchups.
Tarik Black, Los Angeles Lakers
Tarik Black is questionable for Wednesday. If he can't play, Larry Nance Jr. and Thomas Robinson should see big upticks in minutes after playing well without Black two nights ago.
T.J. Warren, Phoenix Suns
T.J. Warren is expected to play after missing some time with an illness.
Luke Babbitt, Miami Heat
Luke Babbitt missed the Miami Heat shootaround this morning. If he does not play tonight, look for Okaro White and James Johnson to gain some more playing time and DFS value.
