NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 12/9/17
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
LeBron James (FanDuel Price: $12,000) - The Cleveland Cavaliers-Philadelphia 76ers game will be one of the more heavily targeted games on Saturday's slate, as it owns the highest over/under of the eight games. There is no shortage of players to use, either, but LeBron remains the elite play. In his last nine games, he has dropped at least 50 FanDuel points eight times while racking up three games of at least 60 FD points. During that stretch he is shooting better than 59% from the field as he averages 28.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.2 blocks for 57.4 FD points per night. Last time he played Philly -- who ranks in the bottom third of the NBA in FD points allowed to small forwards -- he dropped 30 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists in just 31 minutes of action for 1.7 FD points per minute in a 22-point blowout win for Cleveland.
