NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 4/7/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 7:30 PM EST.
Best of the Best
Russell Westbrook (FanDuel Price: $12,200) - Undoubtedly the hottest player in DFS at the moment, Westbrook will be hard to pass up in a primetime showdown on Saturday as his Oklahoma City Thunder battle for their playoff lives against the Houston Rockets. One of the few superstars with a lot left to play for in the regular season, Westbrook has been beasting this last week, averaging 34.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 2.0 steals for 68.3 FanDuel points per night. During the three games, he owns a 33.9% usage rate and an assist percentage just under 50%. The other two times he faced Houston this season, he dropped at least 31 real-world points in both games, and he is poised to continue firing away on Saturday against a Rockets team that already has their playoff fate locked up while the Thunder are a game away from being on the outside looking in.
