NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 3/13/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
James Harden ($12,200): We're up to a 15-game sample for Harden since Chris Paul returned to action, and while his production hasn't been as crazy as it was with Paul on the shelf, 54.0 FanDuel points in 36.6 minutes per game is nothing to scoff at. He's also still showing plenty of upside, with four games of 60-plus FanDuel points since Paul returned, which includes a season-high 92.4 at the end of February. We saw Harden play 39 minutes in regulation (44 total) the last time he took on the Golden State Warriors, and with Kevin Durant ruled out, the Houston Rockets are only 3.5-point underdogs tonight. Harden played 35 minutes despite not even playing 5 in the fourth quarter of a blowout in his last game, so a close, competitive matchup should leave him seeing a similarly heavy workload on Wednesday. Our models project Harden as the top fantasy scorer on the slate.
