NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 4/3/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
James Harden ($12,400): Once again the highest-priced player on the slate, Harden continues to be worth paying up for. Leading the NBA by a big margin in both FanDuel points (59.0) and field goal attempts (24.7) per game, he's consistently proven to be the elite of the elite in fantasy. His offensive volume is actually up over the last month too, with 25.6 field goal attempts in 35.6 minutes per game. He's topped 54 FanDuel points in 11 of his 16 games in that time, and he's playing an average of 35.6 minutes. Tonight he gets a solid matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, who have played at the fifth-highest pace in the NBA since the All-Star break, and this game projects to be a shootout, with a 229.5-point over/under and a one-point spread.
