NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 4/10/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
Russell Westbrook ($12,100): This is a steep price tag with Russ on the second half of a back-to-back in a game that means very little, but there are still some seeding implications here, so the Oklahoma City Thunder might not entirely mail it in. Nobody in a meaningful game tonight is averaging any closer than five fantasy points per game fewer than Westbrook since the All-Star break, and ranking fifth in the NBA in FanDuel points per minute on the season, even a decreased workload could let him put up a reasonable fantasy score here. We don't need to be as sensitive to price on these crazy year-end slates as we do through most of the year, and even though it's a bit of an over-pay, Westbrook can lock you in with a solid floor and great ceiling here. Our models project him for the slate's highest fantasy score.
