3 FanDuel Player Prop Bets to Target on 10/30/19

Is Zach LaVine a good bet to over his projected total of points, rebounds, and assists? What other player prop bets are worth targeting?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash) to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money on betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's statline, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Tomas Satoransky OVER 7.5 Points (-128)

Sato is still the starting point guard for the Chicago Bulls despite rookie Coby White's offensive emergence through four games. Sato celebrates his birthday today and our model projects him at 9.8 points and 5.3 assists tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers. If he reaches 10 points, it will beat his season-high of nine points that he scored against Memphis. He's averaged 24.3 minutes a game this season, and in four games versus Cleveland last year as a member of the Washington Wizards, he averaged 7.3 points a game. If you're squeamish about his point total, look at the points and assists prop of 12.5 (+102) as a better option and better payout.

Zach LaVine OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-106)

Our model projects LaVine's stat line versus the Cavaliers to be 22.9 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.4 rebounds, giving him 32.3 as a total. While that's a close call, LaVine did average 22 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in three games against Cleveland last year. LaVine has the 33rd highest usage rate (28.2%) in the NBA and draws two young point guards in Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. The Cavs have surrendered combined totals of points, rebounds, and assists of 22 (Eric Bledsoe), 42 (Malcolm Brogdon), and 23 (Evan Fournier) this season. LaVine will get it done tonight versus young guards much like he did in his 37-point performance in Memphis against Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks. With the Bulls as 2-point favorites, expect a competitive game. LaVine as the leading scorer in this game has a good payout of +125.

Robert Covington OVER 1.5 Made Threes (-210)

This is a revenge game for Covington, as he and Dario Saric were traded from the Philadelphia 76ers last season in exchange for Jimmy Butler. Covington's two-way ability made his transition in Minnesota easier to keep him around. In three games with the Timberwolves, Covington has attempted 18 three-pointers, while knocking down five (27.8%). Versus the Brooklyn Nets, he went 3-for-6 from deep, while going 2-for-8 against the Heat. The only game in which he did he not make a three was against the Hornets a week ago, when he went 0-for-4 from downtown. Against his old team in Philadelphia, where he should be welcomed back and not booed, go with Covington to make at least two three-pointers.
