3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 10/31/19

DeAndre' Bembry and the Hawks are a go-to source for value on tonight's three-game slate. Who else saves salary?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup

DeAndre' Bembry, SG, Atlanta Hawks ($4,700)

DeAndre Bembry is by far the highest projected per-dollar value on the main slate, according to numberFire's projections. Bembry should slot into extra minutes and usage with Trae Young sidelined with an injury. Young had commanded a 36.9% usage rate.

On Tuesday when Young left early, Bembry started the second half and should start again tonight against the Miami Heat. The Atlanta Hawks own a slate-low implied team total of 104.25 points, but on a three-game slate, we can't be too choosy, especially when the value is so apparent.

Without Young on the court, Bembry has a 15.5% usage rate, via NBAWowy, which isn't stellar, but we project him for 34.6 minutes at a sub-$5,000 price tag.

The Hawks offer up other values, too, including De'Andre Hunter ($4,800), Jabari Parker ($4,800), Cam Reddish ($4,400), and Kevin Huerter ($4,400).

JaMychal Green, PF, Los Angeles Clippers ($3,500)

JaMychal Green is the minimum salary on FanDuel after playing 27.4 minutes last night with 11 shot attempts and 34.6 FanDuel points. He probably won't see that minutes workload tonight with Kawhi Leonard back in action, but he doesn't need to at this price.

Green has a 15.2% usage rate over a small sample with Leonard on the court but produced 0.88 FanDuel points per minute, on average.

The Los Angeles Clippers' frontcourt is pretty jammed up, but even projected for just 20.6 minutes, Green is a top-five per-dollar value based on numberFire's projections, as he finds himself in a game with the highest total (227.5) on the slate. There are reasons to chase Green on a three-game slate after a hot shooting night.

Jahlil Okafor, C, New Orleans Pelicans ($3,600)

This one comes with a caveat. Derrick Favors is doubtful to play, so Jahlil Okafor could be a value play at center, even though that means not rostering Nikola Jokic or Montrezl Harrell.

Okafor currently projects for fewer than 12 minutes tonight, via numberFire, but I have him higher than that with the assumption that Favors is out and he doesn't get into early foul trouble again, which is possible if he goes up against Jokic. Last game without Favors, Jaxson Hayes ($3,800) played 24 minutes and shot 9 of 11 from the field.

But if Okafor's opportunity is clear, he can stand out. He has averaged 1.23 FanDuel points per minute this season on a 16.9% usage rate, so there's plenty of upside if he plays at the high end of his minutes projection without Favors.
