5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 11/1/19

Eric Gordon screams value tonight in a potential super-high scoring game against the Nets. Which other value players should you be rostering tonight?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup

Jordan Poole, SG, Golden State Warriors ($3,800)

With Stephen Curry going out with a broken hand, there is an open space in the starting lineup for the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors' season was already off to a rough start and now things have gotten even worse with Curry set to miss an extended period of time. Jordan Poole is projected -- but not yet confirmed -- to be in the starting lineup for the Warriors tonight, and he offers a ton of value. At just under $4K, Poole is our second-best value option on the entire slate, regardless of position, and the best value option at shooting guard tonight. He is up against the San Antonio Spurs in a game where the over/under is set at 223 points -- the second-highest on the slate.

Our projections have Poole playing just over 30 minutes while producing 24.4 FanDuel points. If he is going to be in the starting lineup moving forward, his price will only rise, so buy in now.

Eric Gordon, SF, Houston Rockets ($4,400)

The Houston Rockets are on the road to take on the Brooklyn Nets with an absurd over/under set at 234 points.

A super-high over/under is a clear spot to target for NBA DFS -- which is nothing new -- but how can you get exposure to this game and not pay a premium price tag?

Eric Gordon at only $4.4K might be the answer tonight and can easily exceed his 22.6-point projection. The Nets are allowing 38.6 FanDuel points per game to small forwards to start the season, which is 15th in the league.

Gordon has yet to break 20.0 FanDuel points this season but has played 30 minutes or more in his last three. We know that plenty of offensive usage will go towards James Harden and Russell Westbrook, but with his ability to shoot the three-ball, we could be seeing him have his first big game of the season.

Daniel Theis, PF, Boston Celtics ($3,800)

Daniel Theis is listed as available for this game and should be seeing the starting lineup for the Boston Celtics.

He got the start the other night and with Enes Kanter still out, we should be seeing him right back in the starting lineup. The matchup versus the New York Knicks is very solid, as they are allowing 51.7 FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards -- the 13th-most in the league this season. Theis is projected for a very solid 26 minutes and 25.6 FanDuel points, and he's our number one value option on this eight-game slate.

He should be a near-lock in cash games tonight and will see high ownership in tournaments, which does present the idea to fade him in the latter.

Jakob Poeltl, C, San Antonio Spurs ($4,100)

The Golden State Warriors are downright bad on defense this season, so let's attack them tonight.

To start the season, the Warriors are allowing 63.1 FanDuel points per game to opposing centers -- the third-most in the league -- making this a natural spot to attack. A high 223-point over/under, a modest price tag, and a soft defensive matchup check all the boxes for an NBA value play.

We know that Dejounte Murray will be out for this game, thus presenting a bit of an opening within the offense to produce more. With Murray off the court this season, Poeltl is racking up 1.03 FanDuel points per minute, a strong rate for a player at only $4.1K.

Tim Frazier, PG, Detroit Pistons ($3,500)

With Reggie Jackson still out for the Detroit Pistons, Tim Frazier is slated to be the starting point guard.

Frazier grabbed the start on Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors, where he played 21 minutes and posted 16.7 FanDuel points. By no means is that amazing production, but it was a tougher matchup versus the Raptors, which won't be the case tonight. He is up against the Chicago Bulls, who are a team we've been attacking in DFS for several seasons.

Frazier is the absolute minimum salary tonight, which can't be said for many players who are in the starting lineup.
