DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Tuesday 11/5/19

Tuesday's six-game schedule is highlighted by Anthony Davis returning to his hometown of Chicago to take on the Bulls, as well as the return of Trae Young for the Hawks in San Antonio tonight. Tonight's slate leaves us with a lot of options in DFS, so let's take a look at how to narrow down all those possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays and sleepers on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($7,000) -- One of the surprises of the young NBA season, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 21.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists -- for 39.1 fantasy points per game. He's currently posting more fantasy points than DeMar DeRozan ($7,500) and Zach LaVine ($7,300), at a cheaper cost. The Thunder are at home tonight versus the Magic, and Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 20.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 40.4 fantasy points in four games at home this season.

Trae Young ($9,200) -- If Young is good to go without John Collins tonight, he will get his and be a must-play. Collins is serving a 25-game suspension for violating the NBA's Anti-Drug policy. Keep an eye on Atlanta's injury report because anytime Young is the lone scorer, he's a threat for 30-points or more. Our model projections for Young are 23.8 points and 7.8 assists in his return, after missing only one game. Young is only averaging 29.5 minutes through four games, and he's managing 26.8 points and 7.3 assists per game in that time.

Shooting Guard

Jeremy Lamb ($6,100) -- This is a potential revenge game for Lamb as he gets to face his former team, the Charlotte Hornets, tonight after signing with the Pacers this summer. Lamb is coming off his worst performance of the season versus the Bulls, scoring 11 points to go with 6 rebounds and 5 assists in his only game without double-digit shot attempts. Lamb is averaging 33.2 fantasy points and has scored 21 or more twice in four games. Expect him to be aggressive against his former team and could be a low-risk, high-reward option tonight.

Jimmy Butler ($8,100) -- Jimmy Buckets has been on a tear since joining the Miami Heat, and now they're in first place in the East. Butler is doing it all for Miami, averaging 14.7 points, 7.3 assists, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.3 steals per game. For that value, no matter who he plays, he's a solid option for your lineup. Our model projects Butler at 19.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.3 steals tonight versus the Nuggets.

Small Forward

LeBron James ($9,600) -- There is no one on the Chicago Bulls that will be able to stop LeBron and Anthony Davis ($10,000), making both must-plays. LeBron is seventh in efficiency (30.7), while AD is fifth (31.7). Comparatively, they're going up against a defense that's 18th in overall efficiency (108.1). The Lakers are first in defensive rating (96.3) and first in efficiency (94.0). Expect a lot of defense to turn into offense for the Lakers tonight, and for LeBron to exceed our projections of 26.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.

Jayson Tatum ($7,700) -- Teammate Jaylen Brown remains out, and Tatum is coming off a game-winner at home over the New York Knicks. He's riding high, and so are the Celtics after four-straight wins. Tatum has averaged 24.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, while going 19-of-39 (.487) from the field and 8-of-15 from deep (.533) in his last two games. Tatum is ninth in minutes in the NBA at 35.6 and will have his hands full if he's expected to guard Kevin Love ($8,800).

Power Forward

Anthony Davis ($10,000) -- The Lakers star is playing in his hometown of Chicago tonight after making some interesting comments on the city, and on the possibility of playing with the Bulls in the future. Now he gets to impress his city and keep the Lakers' five-game winning streak alive. Los Angeles hasn't lost since the first game of the season, and AD is a huge reason why. He's fifth in the league in points (28.5), as well as seventh in rebounds (11.5) and PER (30.07). Davis will now get to face the second-worst rebounding team in the NBA. His projections give him an easy double-double at 27.3 points and 11.3 rebounds. He's the top projected scorer tonight and top-three in rebounds.

Domantas Sabonis ($8,300) -- Sabonis is averaging more points (21.8) and rebounds (11.4) than both Nikola Jokic ($9,400) and Nikola Vucevic ($8,400) this season. With that value, and considering that he's playing the Charlotte Hornets and Tyler Zeller ($6,500), he's a must-play. Our model projects Sabonis to have 21.4 points and 12.1 rebounds -- out-producing Vucevic's 19.9 points and 11.4 rebounds. Take Sabonis' upside.

Center

Kevin Love ($8,800) -- Love is second in the NBA in rebounding (15.3) and has averaged 19.2 points in Cleveland's first six games. Love scored a season-high 29 points versus Dallas on Sunday and has topped 47.5 fantasy points in three straight games. The Cavs are 11th in rebounding, thanks to Love and Tristan Thompson ($7,100) averaging a combined 26.4 rebounds per game. Daniel Theis ($4,800) and Jayson Tatum ($7,700) will be responsible for stopping this dynamic duo. Give me both Love and Thompson tonight.

Cody Zeller ($6,500) -- Zeller is fourth in the NBA in rebounding (12.4), and nobody seems to care. Zeller is averaging 14.0 points and will bang boards with Sabonis tonight while Myles Turner remains out. Zeller had three straight double-doubles before falling two rebounds short in Saturday's win over Golden State. Our model projects Zeller at 11.6 points and 8.3 rebounds, but I like his chances of getting another double-double. He's a value at $6,500. If you want to go a safer route, LaMarcus Aldridge ($6,800) is a solid double-double option against the Hawks with John Collins beginning a 25-game suspension.
