3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 11/19/19

Rajon Rondo had his minutes restriction lifted and is set for a bigger role. Who else can we look to as a value play tonight?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Jaxson Hayes, C, New Orleans Pelicans ($4,800)

The New Orleans Pelicans have an insane amount of injuries throughout their roster and we should be greeted with plenty of value tonight.

With Derrick Favors ruled out for this game and Jahlil Okafor listed as questionable, we should be seeing Jaxson Hayes getting the start for the second game in a row. He played 31 minutes on Sunday, posting 32 FanDuel points, which came from a 10-10 double-double. Hayes needs only 24 FanDuel points in order to reach 5x value tonight, which is certainly doable given the fact that he is posting 1.16 FanDuel points per minute due to the current injury situation on the team. The matchup is also fantastic since he is up against the Portland Trail Blazers, who are allowing 59.1 FanDuel points per game to centers -- the fourth-worst in the league.

Our projections have Hayes going for 32 minutes tonight while posting 29.7 FanDuel points, making him our second-best value play of the entire slate.

Jevon Carter, PG, Phoenix Suns ($3,500)

The Phoenix Suns are on the second night of a back-to-back and have a question mark at point guard.

Last night, the Suns ruled Ricky Rubio out for the game slightly before tip-off, which meant Jevon Carter got the start, and with them playing a second game in as many days, we likely won't see Rubio in action tonight. Carter is the absolute minimum salary, which means he needs only 17.5 FanDuel points tonight in order to reach 5x value. The Suns are on the road to take on the Sacramento Kings, where the over/under is set at 220 points with a spread of only two points. A higher-scoring and close game is ideal for fantasy production, since we shouldn't be seeing a blowout, thus, the starters getting full minutes.

The Kings are allowing 49.2 FanDuel points per game to point guards this season -- the ninth-worst in the league. On a small four-game slate where we need value, Carter at the minimum price tag certainly makes a viable option.

Rajon Rondo, PG, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,400)

It was announced yesterday that Rajon Rondo is no longer under a minutes restriction.

Rondo has only played a total of 56 minutes this season, but in that time he has produced 0.99 FanDuel points per minute. Obviously, it's a small sample size which will gain some clarity as we see him on the court more often. He probably won't see the starting lineup, but a quote in the above-linked article said that Rondo should be in a spot to run the second unit. If LeBron James and Anthony Davis are off the court for the Los Angeles Lakers, that leaves plenty of usage to grab, along with the production which comes along with it.

That is shown in our projections that have Rondo going for 23.97 minutes tonight, posting 22.0 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value at point guard and the 10th-best value overall on this slate.
