5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 12/4/19

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Bruno Caboclo, SF, Memphis Grizzlies ($3,600)

The Memphis Grizzlies are dealing with a whole host of injuries right now, and bench players make great value options.

With Jonas Valanciunas still listed as questionable for tonight's game, we should see Jaren Jackson Jr. get the start at center, meaning their small forward and power forward rotation is going to continue seeing changes. Bruno Caboclo is only $3.6K tonight and should be set for a good amount of minutes since Memphis has already ruled Brandon Clarke out for this game.

Caboclo has been a bit of a roller coaster in his past two games, going for 36.1 FanDuel points two games ago, but only 5.5 points in his most recent game. It's truly all or nothing with him, but we could be seeing the higher-end of outcomes tonight since he is up against the Chicago Bulls, who are allowing 39 FanDuel points per game to small forwards and 53.5 FanDuel points per game to power forwards. He is in a good spot regardless of where he lines up on the court.

Frank Kaminsky, PF, Phoenix Suns ($4,300)

Frank the Tank is set for another large role in the Phoenix Suns tonight.

Frank Kaminsky has been getting the start at center since Aron Baynes is currently dealing with a calf injury. Kaminsky is productive with the current starting lineup, posting 1.05 FanDuel points per minute in a 19.3% usage rate. Our projections have Kaminsky being productive yet again, going 32 minutes and posting 28.4 FanDuel points, making him the most valuable player on the slate.

This is a pace-down spot for the Suns, but we have a relatively strong over/under of 215 points, with the spread being only 1.5 points. He is set to be the starter, going for over 30 minutes, and is just over $4K in price. He checks all the boxes tonight.

Emmanuel Mudiay, PG, Utah Jazz ($3,500)

With Mike Conley ruled out for tonight's game, Emmanuel Mudiay should be getting the start.

Mudiay is the absolute minimum salary tonight, and we have him projected to play a modest 21 minutes while producing 19 FanDuel points. Modest numbers overall, but that has him exceeding 5x value tonight, thus making him worth the roster spot. We have an over/under of 210 points, where the spread -- -2.5 points -- is in favor of the Utah Jazz, who are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back. With the current starting lineup for the Jazz, Mudiay should have a usage rate around 19.5% while posting 0.95 FanDuel points per minute.

Take the savings, and you should look to spend up on Trae Young tonight.

Deandre Bembry, SG, Atlanta Hawks ($4,700)

DeAndre Bembry comes in as our third-best value player on the slate, let's take a look at why.

The Atlanta Hawks are at home to face the Brooklyn Nets, where the over/under is set at a very solid 227 points, giving us one of the better fantasy environments of the night. Both teams find themselves in the top-eight when it comes to the fastest pace, another sign pointing to this game being very fantasy-friendly. The Nets are allowing 41.4 FanDuel points per game to shooting guards this season -- which is right at the league average.

We have Bembry projected for 30.57 minutes, posting 26.9 FanDuel points in the process -- yet another player who should exceed 5x value tonight.

Willie Cauley-Stein, C, Golden State Warriors ($4,800)

Attack the Charlotte Hornets with big men in DFS.

I say to attack them via big men all the time, and with the Golden State Warriors, that comes down to Willie Cauley-Stein, who is projected to be the second-best value among centers tonight. We know that Kevon Looney is back for the Warriors, but he played only 14 minutes in their most recent game and should be around the same level tonight. We have Cauley-Stein projected for more than double the minutes compared to Looney, so this one is a no-brainer.

The Hornets are allowing 58.4 FanDuel points per game to centers this season -- the third-worst in the league. They are giving up massive points every single night to centers, and even with the Warriors being so bad this season, this is no time to shy away from an amazing matchup.
