3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 8/3/20

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Troy Brown, SF, Washington Wizards ($4,500)

Troy Brown Jr. was a value target starting for the Washington Wizards, now with plenty of room to operate without Bradley Beal and his 34.6% usage clogging the way, but no one could have predicted his fantasy eruption on Sunday afternoon. Brown Jr. posted 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists as the key component in the Wizards' offense. On just a day's turnaround, the player pool has not quite caught up to the young wing's newfound usage. He's simply too cheap here, regardless of just an okay matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

Royce O'Neale, PF, Utah Jazz ($4,500)

The Utah Jazz rotation is incredibly thin now. Tossing out last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where OKC never trailed and thoroughly destroyed the Jazz, only six players occupied more than 15 minutes on the floor in the previous game. With only a six-point spread, this game should stay close like the Jazz's first game inside the bubble, and if it does, it appears Royce O'Neale's role is safe. O'Neale did not struggle like his teammates in the last game, still posted a very solid 25 FanDuel points about OKC. Seeing even more minutes in a closer game, O'Neale should be a tremendous value at this tag.

Monte Morris, PG, Denver Nuggets ($4,000)

Denver Nuggets starting point guard Jamal Murray is doubtful at best as his hamstring continues to linger, so expect another start for Morris against the Thunder on Monday. Morris did not exactly set the world on fire in his last start on Saturday, as he only scored 21 FanDuel points in 28 minutes, but the Nuggets as a whole struggled tremendously against a veteran, well-coached Miami Heat squad. This is still a starting NBA point guard expected to see between 28-32 minutes on Monday, so don't pass him up at this small a price.
