NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Wednesday 9/23/20

Jayson Tatum is Boston's leading rebounder in the Eastern Conference Finals. Can he hit the over on his rebounding total tonight?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measure a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money betting everyday player props.

For this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Jayson Tatum, Over 9.5 Rebounds (+102)

In three ECF meetings versus the Miami Heat, Jayson Tatum is averaging 11.0 rebounds per game, including two games of 14 boards. In the semifinals versus the Toronto Raptors, Tatum averaged 10.3 rebounds after averaging 9.8 in the first round versus the Philadelphia 76ers. In five total meetings with Miami, Tatum has averaged nine boards per contest.

Tatum has surpassed nine boards or in 8 of his 14 playoff games so far. He's totaled nine rebounds in two of those games, giving him nine or more boards in 10-of-14 games. Boston won the rebounding battle in Game 3 50-42, and Tatum led his team with 14.

Tatum also led both teams in Game 1 with 14 rebounds, though he managed just five in Game 2. When Tatum plays 40-plus minutes in the playoffs, he's averaging 11.6 rebounds per game, compared to 7.8 boards when he plays under 40. Tatum should see heavy minutes as the Celtics look to even out the series, which should lead to him reaching the over.

Bam Adebayo, Over 32.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-106)

Bam Adebayo has averaged 22.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in the ECF versus Boston. In his 12 postseason games, Bam has posted an average of 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Adebayo has 33 rebounds this, and he's scored 66 points, the most on the team and second-most behind Tatum for the series-lead.

Adebayo has also gotten it done on the passing end. Only Tyler Herro has recorded more assists (18) than Adebayo (14) throughout this series for Miami. When Adebayo's played 35 or more minutes in the playoffs, he's averaged 19.3 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. When he's played fewer minutes than 35, Adebayo averaged 14.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. numberFire's model predicts Adebayo to play 37.9 minutes, resulting in 17.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists (33.8) -- projecting him to hit the over.
