3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 4/14/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Kevon Looney, C, Golden State Warriors ($3,500)

If Kevon Looney is going to stay at the minimum salary, we'll keep looking towards him in DFS.

With James Wiseman and Eric Paschall both out for the Golden State Warriors, they are lacking size in their lineups and that leads to Looney seeing plenty of playing time. In fact, he played a season-high 31 minutes the other night against the Denver Nuggets and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him at that volume of minutes going forward.

Tonight, he is up against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are allowing the fourth-most (57.06) FanDuel points per game to opposing centers, and that puts him in a good spot to exceed value quickly tonight. More importantly, we see Looney producing 0.84 FanDuel points per minute in the Warriors' starting lineup, which is solid for having a low 12.7% usage rate.

Matthew Dellavedova, PG, Cleveland Cavaliers ($3,600)

What year is it? Matthew Dellavedova is a value option tonight?

Dellavadova returned to the Cavaliers' rotation on April 1st and has played 16 minutes or more in each of his six games. Notably, he played 34 minutes in his most recent game, which could the level we see him at tonight due to a few injuries. Right now, the Cavaliers have Collin Sexton and Darius Garland listed as questionable for tonight's game. They were both out of the lineup on Sunday, which is when we saw Dellavedova in the starting going for those 34 minutes and 26.6 FanDuel points.

Even though this game only has an over/under of 214 points, the matchup versus the Charlotte Hornets is one worth attacking since they are allowing 47.75 FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards, which is right aroundleague average. We have to wait and see if Sexton and Garland are out tonight to determine if Dellavedova is a viable value option.

Rui Hachimura, SF, Washington Wizards ($5,200)

The Washington Wizards at Sacramento Kings matchup has an over/under of 238 points and that is absolutely a spot you want to target.

Anytime there is a game total that is this high, you should be looking to get exposure to this game in any way you possibly can. Both teams are in the top-12 when it comes to offensive pace and both teams are in the bottom-five of the league for the most FanDuel points allowed on average to all positions.

Although Rui Hachimura has struggled in a few recent games, he is still producing 0.74 FanDuel points per minute this season on an 18.1% usage rate. The Kings are also allowing the 10th-most (42.75) FanDuel points per game to opposing small forwards, putting Hachimura in a good spot to bounceback after a few rough games.
