3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 12/28/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Garrett Temple, SF, New Orleans Pelicans ($3,600)

The New Orleans Pelicans could be without a few key players tonight, opening up minutes for Garrett Temple.

As of now, Nickeil Alexander-Walker is out, Josh Hart is questionable, and Brandon Ingram is doubtful. When we account for those players being off the court and the rest of the Pelicans' injury report, Temple comes in with a 31.0% offensive usage rate in the split, producing 0.80 FanDuel points per minute. That comes from a small 20-minute sample, so take it with a grain of salt.

Temple came off the bench in their most recent game and played a big 35 minutes, but with those players set to miss tonight's game, he is expected to be in the starting lineup.

This is a clear boost for him, and that is reflected by numberFire's projections, which have Temple going for 29.24 minutes and 21.0 FanDuel points, making him the fifth-best point-per-dollar value on the entire slate, and top value option at small forward. A game with a 213.0-point over/under against the Cleveland Cavaliers doesn't jump off the page, but nearly 30 minutes for a player at only $3.600 does.

Omer Yurtseven, C, Miami Heat ($5,400)

Omer Yurtseven has been crushing it for the Miami Heat, and that won't stop tonight.

With Bam Adebayo still out, Yurtseven has stepped into more playing time, and he is making the best of it. He comes in with at least 21 FanDuel points in each of his last four games, 22-plus minutes in three of those games, and 12 or more rebounds in five straight.

The amazing production should continue tonight versus the Washington Wizards, who are allowing the third-most (57.00) FanDuel points per game to opposing centers.

All of this has Yurtseven coming in projected for 33.49 minutes and 31.9 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option on the slate and the top value option at center. This is a slight pace-up spot for the Heat, and with them taking on a depleted Wizards' frontcourt, Yurtseven should continue producing.

Hassani Gravett, PG, Orlando Magic ($4,700)

With 10 players on the injury report for the Orlando Magic, they will continue to have several value options to consider.

Since joining the Magic about a week ago, Hassani Gravett has played five games, logged 23-plus minutes in four of those games, and posted at least 21 FanDuel points in three of them. A consistent amount of minutes for a player under $5,000 will always draw plenty of interest in NBA DFS, and this is no exception.

Gravett has a surprisingly strong matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, who are allowing 46.64 FanDuel points per game to point guards, the 13th-most in the league. We have Gravett projected for 27.64 minutes and 25.6 FanDuel points, putting him as the top overall value play at point guard.
